Easter!

Fresh out of the bath and back into jammies! We needed a diversion because Anna Kate was up earlier than Isaac. I was planning on them being in their church clothes but the dye of the eggs was coming off on my fingers and I was worried they would stain their clothes. 

Anna Kate was THRILLED with her Kit Kat bar. Isaac calls her that and she had never had one before. 

She also got a new batting helmet for t-ball. 

Isaac got a bicycle helmet. Of course he loved it, he loves to wear hats. Plus, I think he thought it was like Anna Kate's and he loves to be just like her. 

After they finished going through their baskets it was time for the quick hunt! We only left 19 eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide! 

 

 

Anna Kate found the last egg. It was tricky - a white egg on the white mantel. 

Isaac was done looking for eggs after he found 5.

Cute kids but can you tell Isaac is about to take off out of the photo?!

Mike and I had show the kids this pose to get Isaac to do it. It turned out pretty adorable! 

Isaac was quite the stinker but we got one picture of him sitting, looking at the camera AND smiling! 

22 Months Old

Isaac at 22 months old:

• Weight:
• Height:
• Wearing 24 month clothes
• Still size 4 shoes but they are getting small.
• His favorite words are "no" and "mine" - I think he has officially hit the terrible twos!
• Knows what he wants and cries when we tell him "no." He will even sign and say "please" through his tears to try to change our minds.
• I have just been bragging to people how well my kids play together and that has changed. Now when they play together all I hear is, "No! Mine!" and "Is-aac! Mommy!" ugh!
• Counted to three once but we haven't gotten him to do it again. He will say "two" after we say "one."
• Holds up his fingers in a funny way we when count. 
• Loves to say "nine!" anytime we are counting.
• Says "yah" for yes. It is almost 2 syllables and SO cute! Most of the time he just nods his head.
• Has decided he doesn't want his sleep sack anymore. (Probably a good idea since we've been still putting on his 6-12 month sized one.)
• Can identify the letters I, O and E.
• Can say the shapes star, heart, and oval. He used to do circles but now he calls them balls.
• Loves stars! I took him to Macy's and all I heard was "Dar! Dar! Dar!!!"
• He cries if he thinks one of us is leaving the house. 
• Does great in nursery if we don't say good-bye... just sneak out.
• Loves Mickey Mouse and calls him "mou mou."
• He can't jump but he tries and it's more like a skip.
• Always wears a hat. We make him take it off for meals and naps/bedtime (not without tears).
• Copies whatever Anna Kate does.
• Likes to get out plates, bowls and cups.
• If he sees me with the blender he gets out his special smoothie cup.
• Helps himself to things in the pantry if the door is open.
• LOVES to read books! 
• He will usually say no if you ask for a hug.
• Blows the best kisses!
