Stairs

Our new temporary home has stairs for Isaac to explore! We had stairs in Bellingham but they were gated off. Isaac is probably going to learn fast how to go up and down.

Pt. Defiance!

Yay for holidays! For Memorial Day we headed to the Pt. Defiance Zoo with Joey, Heidi and kids. We bought an annual pass with guest passes and we are hoping that when are Bellingham friends come to visit we can take them.

Our new "home"

We are moved into our new "home!" Joey and Heidi have invited us to stay with them during our transition. Their basement has a little kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and living area and we are taking it over as our little apartment. We are all sleeping in one room - that is going to be interesting since Isaac still wakes up at night. We are grateful that we don't have to mess with getting an apartment. Hopefully we will find our new home soon!

Goodbye!

We had a TON of guys from church show up to load up the truck. We had worked hard to get as many boxes downstairs and ready to go so it went really fast, like just over an hour. Of course we still had more packing to do and more cleaning too. My friends, Tari and Becky, came over and helped do all the last minute packing and cleaning. Michelle watched the kids all day. We were very blessed.

It was strange to drive away from our home. We have lived there for eleven years! It is the first home we bought. The home where we brought both our kids home. It seemed unreal that we were driving away and not coming back! We were leaving a life we knew and were comfortable with for the unknown.

Last Night in our Home

 The day has finally come - our last night before making our big move! Time has moved so slowly these past two months but this past week went by very quickly! Mike took off work Thursday and Friday so we've been very busy packing.The reality of moving hasn't hit me yet. I'm very sad to be leaving our friends and home but I'm excited for us all to be together again. We don't know where we are moving to so that adds some stress. For the next little bit we will be living with my brother and his family in their basement in Port Orchard. So far everything has fallen into place and not having a home to move into has been our only hiccup. I don't want to rush into anything and it will be easier to check things out once we are living closer.

It's hard to believe that it's over. Anna Kate had a great year! She learned to sit in her spot/seat, all about primary colors, lots of fun songs, all her lower case letters. She loved getting the sharing box and being the weather wizard. Teacher Charlene shared lots of funny things Anna Kate would do or say in class - she is a character! I think she self-appointed herself as the assistant teacher at times.

Crazy Hair

After I got Isaac out of the bath I gave him some crazy hair. I think he looks good with a mohawk!

Anna Kate joined in on the fun and made her hair crazy too!

Prayer

Anna Kate was playing out back by herself but I walked by the window and saw this:

I grabbed my camera to catch a photo.

I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I was praying for pixie dust so I can fly!" I love it!

She gave up the pacifier all on her own at 9 months old but anytime she finds one she has to try it out! What a goofy girl!!

Anna Kate's Pretend Birthday Party!

Anna Kate kept talking about her birthday party and how all her friends were coming. Unfortunately, we were moving before her birthday and I doubted many of her friends would make a two or three hour drive for her party. Since it was almost her birthday we went ahead and had a party early. Anna Kate called it her pretend party! She stuck with the rainbow theme, too.

She made that rainbow in preschool. Her shirt is actually a pajama shirt and the shoes are like the silver clouds!
