Anna Kate tossed her spoon on the floor and I gave her a warning. Then she tossed her fork on the floor. I was telling her how we don't throw things on the floor. She said, "I sit on the couch for two minutes and then I play with my toys. Sound good Mommy? Sound good?" She's already making deals...
I called Mike's work and put the phone up to Anna Kate's ear. Mike answered how he always does, "Hi, this is Mike" and Anna Kate said, "Hi Mike!"
We told her we were going to the swimming pool and she said, "Ohhhhhhhhh! I will put on my giraffe jacket (her life jacket), go in the water, put my arms out like an airplane, kick my legs and SWIM!"
Edited to add more:
Anna Kate's new favorite game is "hide and seek" but she calls it "count and seek." Makes more sense doesn't it? After she counts and says, "Ready or not, here I come!" she looks around and says, "Where is you?"
We were reading a book today and the mother duck was sad. Anna Kate kept talking about a drip and I couldn't figure out what she meant. Then she pointed to her face and said "drip' - she was talking about a tear since the mother duck was sad.
Anna Kate was eating Life cereal for breakfast. She took a break from the cereal to eat her banana. By the time she got back to the cereal it was soggy. She took a bite and then she spat (or is it spitted?) it out and said, "I spit it out. That cereal is NOT good."
Mike said, "Come on Princess, let's go wash your hands." and she replied "I'm not princess, I'm Anna Kate!"
Grandma got Anna Kate a Disney Princess night-light. She loves it because she can play when she is suppose to be sleeping. One night we heard her singing in her room an hour after we put her to bed. We went in to check on her and she said with a big smile on her face, "Go out and shut the door." She wanted to keep playing!
We turn off the night-light before we go to bed. The other morning she woke up about an hour before she usually does crying, "My princess light is off! My princess light is off!" Mike went in, turned it on and told her she needed to go back to sleep and she did for almost an hour more.
I put on jammies that had words on them. She said, "Read it to me." I told her it said, "I am berry cute" and she said, "Yes, I AM berry cute!"
The other day she came out of her room with two diaper genie refills on each arm and said, "I'm ready to go swimming!" They looked like the arm floaties she's seen kids wear at the beach.
Her new phrase is, "I do it mineself!"
She flipped my shoes over, put her feet on top of them and then slid around the kitchen floor. She said, "Look at me! I'm riding a skateboard!" I really don't know where she learns half of this stuff!
