Trick-or-Treat

Anna Kate had a great time trick-or-treating! She said, "Knock, knock!" as she knocked on every door. She carried around a little bucket that didn't hold much candy so we kept dumping it into our pockets... she didn't like that!

Good thing I'd gotten some photos of her on the other days she dressed up because all the photos I got tonight were of the back of her.

Testing the waters

Anna Kate the Pirate had fun checking out the new water fountains at Barkley Village. She kept going closer and closer to the water!
(She was a pirate because we had gone to a Halloween party in the morning and had another one in the evening that Anna Kate was too tired to go to!)

Crazy Girl!

Anna Kate spent a good 20 minutes putting EVERY toy she could find into the middle of the living room. I kept asking her what she was doing and all she would tell me is "I'm going bye-bye!" Who knows what was going on in her little brain!

Fun in the Fall

Anna Kate and I collected a bunch of fullen leaves on the back deck. Some of the leaves were bigger than her head!

Silly with Minnnie

Pirate Girl

We've been planning on Anna Kate being Minnie Mouse for Halloween for the past few months. Then a few days ago she told me she was going to be a pirate! What?! I don't even know where she came up with that. But she was insistent! So I went to JoAnn's and found some stripey fabric to make a skirt and appliqued a shirt to go with it. When she woke up the next day I showed it to her. She put it on and then said, "I'm going to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween!" What?! Luckily she happily put on the pirate costume for our church Halloween party.



Argh!

She had fun going fishing and the yummy treat that came on the hook!

She loved the costume parade on the stage. She was first and slowly walked across. Once she saw all the other kids have fun across the stage she wanted to go back up. This time she did all her fancy dance moves! She's so cute!!

A Haircut

We took Anna Kate to get her hair cut for the first time! She did a GREAT job! She sat really still and followed directions. Mike got his hair cut after her and she kept saying, "Sit really still Daddy!"

Ballerina Girl

Anna Kate loves to play ballerina. She knows first position, second position, plié, pirouette and arabesque. Grandma got her this cute Strawberry Shortcake outfit that she loves to wear and dance around in.

Hiding

Anna Kate loves to hide. Whenever she hears the garage door open in the evening, she shouts, "Daddy is home! HIDE!!" Usually she hides behind the couch, in the window sill, behind the sheer curtains... tricky!

Stretches

Anna Kate said, "Mommy, come look at me!" and this is what she was doing! Funny girl!!

More silliness

Anna Kate climbed into her Build-A-Bear box. She said this smile was for Grandma, Papa and Nana too.

Anna Kate was playing very quietly for a while so I went to check on her and she had sorted all her blocks. She put all the 1x1 blocks together and all the 1x2's and 2x2's. She said she made tall towers for "people and kids to climb up." I hope she doesn't think she's going to be crawling up any towers!

Silly Girl

"Look at my glasses! No, it's just an egg!"

Anna Kate kept pushing this stool around the kitchen.

Then she would push it right to where the carpet and linoleum meet so it would tip over with her on top. She would fall and say, "I'm fine!" That's her new favorite phrase. If I ask her if she's hungry she says, "No, I'm fine." If I ask her if she wants to do something she says, "No, I'm fine."

I went to the dentist and Anna Kate got a new turtle toothbrush! she sat in the chair and told thehygienist that she had 19 teeth and even showed them to her!

Anna Kate put all her Mickey Mouse friends in the window and said, "My friends are looking at my pictures and having a party!"

One of the gang

Anna Kate carefully lined up all her Mickey Mouse friends and then sat down next to them. She said, "I'm sitting next to my friends!"

Then she knocked them over... one by one!

Best Friends

Anna Kate says these little animals are her "best friends." She used to get all four of them to sleep with her in her crib but there was too much playing and not enough sleeping. So now she just gets the kitties and the sheep sit on her dresser.

Stoney Ridge Farm

We headed out this morning to Stoney Ridge Farm!

It was SO COLD and SO WINDY! Luckily for Anna Kate and I we had extra sweatshirts in the car.
