Oh no!

I think Anna Kate is trying to teach Isaac him how to be loud just like her... oh no!!!

Princess braids

Anna Kate got her hair cut and the very nice hairdresser put braids in her hair when she was done. She called them princess braids. Ever since then, Anna Kate has been requesting I do princess braids for her again. Unfortunately, I'm not great at doing hair, especially thin, fine hair. This was the best I could do!

Tangled!

We loved seeing "Tangled" at the movie theater and we have been counting down until it came out on DVD! We pre-ordered it on Amazon so it was delivered on the release date. Anna Kate invited her BFF and Aunt Brianna over to watch it with her. They were so excited and were jumping up and down during the previews. I fell asleep within the first 10 minutes! I could not keep my eyes open. Lucky for me, I'm sure Anna Kate won't mind watching it again.

Peek-a-boo!

Isaac LOVES to play peek-a-boo in the curtains.

Good Morning

Anna Kate is usually the first one in the room when Isaac wakes up. She is a nice big sister and throws some toys into the crib for him. (Sometimes she crawls into the crib and plays with him too!)

Today I came into the room to see that, not only had she given him some toys, but was reading to him as well. She is so sweet!

Oh, the fun we have!

Yes, Anna Kate is sitting in a baby bath, in her swimsuit, playing a recorder... does it get any weirder?

We have lots of boxes around here these days. Anna Kate made a train. The recorder was the train whistle. Anna Kate asked me to push the train. I did, until she asked me to push it around a corner! Yeah, right!

Isaac will stand at the couch when we put him there.

42 Weeks Old

Isaac at 42 weeks:

Uses his pointer finger all the time.
Although sometimes that finger ends up his nose!
Tooth #5 broke through.
Dances, well moves a little, to the music.
Hides behind his blanket to play peek-a-boo.

Sippy Cup Woes

And he gets a little frustrated when I try to help him. He'll get it eventually... I hope!

Hair Twin

MIA

I've been MIA for the past month on this blog. And for good reason... we are moving! Mike got a new job that will bring us closer to family. Hooray! We are super excited but we are really sad to leave our friends. So for the past few weeks we've spent going back and forth on whether we should take the job or not, finally making a decision, Mike giving notice at work, putting our house up for sale, SELLING OUR HOUSE in 10 days!, finding a new house, finding out that it's already pending, finding another new house, putting an offer on the house, losing out on that house due to multiple offers (boo!), and just searching, searching and searching for a new house while living 120 miles away - I thought this was a "buyer's market!" So we are having a bit of an adventure these days... so not like us! We've lived in our house for almost 11 years, we keep our cars until they're nearly dead, we go to the same restaurants and order the same things - we don't do change! Ahh! Wish us luck!!!

All about Yarny

A very friendly cat decided to adopt us! This cat stayed by our window all day and we heard him meowing all night. Anna Kate named him, "Yarny, you know, because cats like yarn!" Anna Kate was really cute with the kitty UNTIL she let it in the house! I'm allergic and the cat was running from room to room. I was trying to close doors to keep it going into every room. Isaac was crying because I put him down and Anna Kate was crying because she just "loves Yarny SO much and will miss him SO much!" Oh brother!

We found out later that this cat (and it's twin that is almost as friendly) belong to the neighbors down the street.  

41 Weeks Old

Isaac at 41 Weeks:

Tooth #4 popped through.
Isaac LOVES bath time. He gets excited when he realizes it's time to get in the tub. He is a great splasher too.
He's learned how to wave... so cute!
Still a super sweet guy and totally mellow... unless we are trying to get his weekly photo with the tiger!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Or Happy "Singing" Patrick's Day as Anna Kate likes to say.

Some naughty leprechauns visited our house last night. They tipped over furniture and put chairs on the table. While they were being mischievous, gold fell out of their pockets - lucky us! Anna Kate was so excited to find the gold but a little disappointed she didn't get to see any leprechauns.
