Isaac is 2 and a half!

All about Isaac at two and a half years old!

• Weight: about 29 pounds
• Height:
• Shoe size: 6
• Clothes: 2T (pants are a little big)
• Diapers: size 4
• We've pulled out the potty chair but he definitely not ready to potty-train. He's sat on the chair a few times but nothing yet!
• One of his 2-year-old molars has poked through - his bottom left one. So he has 17 teeth
• Favorite color: blue
• Favorite animal: elephant
• Favorite food: chicken (that's what he said but I don't think so)
• Favorite number: 2
• Says he's "two-half."
• He tells us all the time that Anna Kate is 5 and I'm 34.
• Knows his birthday is "June 5" and talks about his Mickey Mouse party.
• Talks about Disneyland a lot. Especially how he was a "crazy driver" on Autopia.
• Always wants us to make his hair into a mohawk in the bath.
• Doesn't say "Di-di" as much. We are hearing "I-gik" more.
• Says prayers with Anna Kate's help
• Vocabulary is taking off... BIG TIME!
• Can spell his name but he will sometimes say, "I S A A ... AAC!"
• He knows all of his uppercase letters although he will confuse a couple like Y and V.
• Often counts 8, 9, 6, 11, 8, 9, 6, 11 but I wonder when he says 11 he means 7... it would make a little more sense. He will start at one if I help him but then it is still somewhat random.
• He will say, "no" to me when I give him a direction and I will tell him, "We don't tell Mommy 'no.' We say 'Okay Mommy'" and he will immediately say, "Okay Mommy!" and do whatever I ask. 
• If I tell him "no" he will say, "No say no Mommy. Say okay!" He's one smart cookie!
• Loves all his "friends" that are stuffed animals: Mickey Mouse, brown puppy, white dog, baby bear and baby tiger. He likes more but he doesn't let them go in his crib. Just those ones. 
• He will gather all five of his blankets and all his friends in a spot somewhere. We say he's nesting. It is so funny because he will bring everything to the spot one thing at a time so he just runs back and forth a gazillion times. 
• He has a little Pluto he likes to bring with him in the car.
• Loves to go to his nursery class at church. If I come in to check on him he says hello and then says, "Bye mom!"
• He is trying to give up his nap but he will quietly play in his crib for two hours or more so I can't complain.
• If he doesn't nap then he is definitely ready to go to bed at 7 pm, otherwise he is up late... 9 or later! But again, he will quietly play in his crib in the dark. 
• I'm not sure exactly what time he wakes up. If I don't hear him by 9 am I go in his room. He is usually playing with his "friends."
• He asks to have his door open at night.
• He likes everything to be in it's place.
• Doesn't like to be dirty, sticky or messy.
• Did not want anything to do with finger painting (see above).
• He likes to color and says he is doing homework. 
• LOVES to steal our iPhones and he knows how to watch shows from Disney Jr. or PBS kids all by himself. 
• Calls phones "cones."
• He copies everything Anna Kate does - good and bad!
• Anna Kate said she wants a Dream Lite for Christmas, so Isaac does too!
• He is very helpful and puts away his laundry.
• He is very opinionated on what clothes he wears.
• Calls jeans, "jean-pants."
• If we smell something smelly and ask Isaac if he's stinky he always says, "No, I just toot!"
• Is quick to point out anything that matches - colors, shapes, clothes.
• Knows all his shapes and that a diamond is also called rhombus.
• He remembers everything anyone gives him, tells me about it and then thanks them again even though they aren't there. "That my blue chair. Grandma give me blue chair. Thank you Grandma."
• He charms everyone he meets with his "hello" and "dank you."
• He has the very sweetest personality and is so calm. I love having him as my little buddy!
